Qurbani/Udhiya, Nikah, Aqeeqah

Currently, the people of Gaza lack meat because of the scarcity of its presence in the markets with the closure of the crossings. Eating a meal with meat has become a dream for every Gazan, so we strive to provide meals with meat, especially since the price of a 50-kilo sheep has become around $1,000. The price of a calf, if available, exceeds $7,000 per calf and does not exceed 300 kilos (135lbs).

Accepting all year-round sacrifices for distributions parcels or for use in hot cooked meals; in the form of

  • Udyiha for Eid Al-Adha
  • Waleema/Nikah Marriage ceremony
  • Aqeeqah for newborn
  • Kafarh (a type of expiation for breaking one’s continual 30-day fast in Ramadan (via eating, drinking or sexual intercourse), with the other being fidya.

Kaffara and fidya differ in that while fidya is the expiation for breaking the Ramadan fast with a valid reason, kaffara is the expiation for breaking the Ramadan fast without a valid reason.
